• Most children never go beyond 2nd grade
• 50% of the population is under the age of 18
• Thousands of people live lives of desperaton in the street
• The average woman has her first child at the age of 14
• 70% of families have only one parent
• Unemployment hovers at 40%

El Progeso is a small city near the northern coast of Honduras. Friends of Los Niños was started with a mission to help the children in El Progreso with food, medicine, shelter and care. Many items, including financial donations, are needed for the young children who cannot help themselves. Your help is greatly appreciated.
